케이스마텍은 지난 19일 미국 제이컵 재비츠 센터에서 열린 '2019 뉴욕 국제 오토쇼'에서 현대자동차 신형 쏘나타에 탑재된 '현대 디지털 키' 서비스를 선보였다고 26일 밝혔다.
이번 서비스 시연은 현대자동차가 신형 쏘나타 모델을 공개하는 과정에서 케이스마텍을 대신해 진행했다.
'현대 디지털 키'는 차량 스마트 키를 대신해 스마트폰으로 차량의 도어 잠금·해제, 시동 ON·OFF, 경보음 ON·OFF,트렁크 열림 등 기능을 제어할 수 있으며, 최대 3명에게 키를 공유할 수 있는 애플리케이션 서비스다.
케이스마텍은 글로벌 보안솔루션 개발업체 트러스토닉과 함께 신뢰실행환경(TEE) 기반의 '티-베이스 시큐리티솔루션' 구축한 것을 기반으로 하나카드와 TEE 기반의 '하나 티-싸인 안심보관 서비스' 기술을 개발한 바 있다.
이 경험을 바탕으로 2016년부터 현대모비스와 선행연구를 시작, 스마트폰과 자동차 간의 근거리 무선통신(NFC) 및 저전력 블루투스(BLE) 통신 기반에 자체 솔루션을 적용한 현대 디지털 키 서비스를 구축했다.
케이스마텍 정순호 공동대표이사는 "사람·사물·IoT 단말기와 스마트 자동차 간 상호 연결에 필요한 모든 요소에 대한 보안 및 인증 분야 서비스 구축을 시작으로 보안솔루션 사업 분야의 독립적이고 차별화된 경쟁력으로 업을 확대해나갈 예정"이라고 밝혔다.
